Our story began over the summer of 2010 when Craig Marr sat on the beach in Misquamicut and wondered why no one was serving fresh fish tacos to the beach crowd. He reached out to long time friends Bob and Rick Harris to see if they would be interested in joining him in creating a place to serve fish tacos and other casual fare to the residents of Charlestown, RI. Thankfully they enthusiastically embraced the idea and began working together with Craig to create The Breachway Grill. Soon they had the means, the location, and the determination to create a restaurant that would soon become a cornerstone of the Charlestown community.
They got the space, began remodeling, and made the decision to introduce another element they felt was missing from the area: real NY style thin crust pizza. From there it was an easy decision to expand the menu to include more fresh seafood, juicy burgers and steaks, and other savory dishes, all with the emphasis on locally sourced foods whenever possible.
Throughout the years, we have continuously made changes and improvements to The Breachway Grill, all aimed at providing the community with a warm and friendly restaurant. We've added our Raw Bar, serving the freshest local oysters and littlenecks around. We've added a patio with a brand new awning, offering outdoor seating in a comfortable and relaxed setting. We've even introduced weekly specials during the off-season, giving our locals a reason to get out of the house and enjoy the winter.
With Craig's dream and motivation to make it happen, The Breachway Grill has grown into a place that the people of Charlestown can call their own. We've dedicated ourselves to providing a warm and friendly atmosphere, while serving the best and freshest food around. Which is why we are very proud to say that as of 2019, we are celebrating 8 years of delivering great food & great times to the Charlestown community.
